Not only do children love to just throw snowballs at each other and have snowball fights, Children and some adults love to build snowmen or make snow angels on the ground. Photography prints of these small things will last for generations to come. It is a magical time for not only bonding with family and friends. It is also a time of festivals. For many people, winter Is the start of a season of festivals, Christmas, new year and so on. It does not have to be said explicitly that photographs are an important part of this season. - Your attire.
While this may seem like a very obvious thing to add in this list. It is still an important aspect of all things winter photograph. Imagine a scenario like this, what If you are out trying to capture a picture of the perfect snow fall in your backyard. Now, like any normal person if you are wearing a proper sweater and a jacket you might be able to get a steady picture. Now, if you are not wearing the proper attire, you will definitely start shaking and all you will end up with is shaky and blurry pictures which you will just have to delete. The point is, you might have to be in the freezing climate for a few hours if you are a portrait pro photographer to take pictures of your client. If you are not dressed properly, all you will be thinking about is when you can get back home into your comfy bed and lie down with a mug of a hot beverage. That will definitely be very unprofessional of you. And will make you look un eager to work with your client. So, wear proper clothes which will keep you warm and not restrict your movement.
2. Your camera.
Well, there is no photography without your camera now is there. If you are someone who does a lot of event photography you might be well aware of the fact that your camera and its accessories are a very important thing. Imagine a situation where your tripod sinks into the soft snow. Not only would your camera be off angle, it may also fall down and get damaged. The thing with winter photography is that, well it is very cold out and because it is so cold, there are chances of fogging up of your camera lenses. This will not only lead to blurred pictures, it might be the end of an entire photoshoot. Be sure that your photography camera lens is clean and dry before you start taking pictures.
3. Timing.
Timing is a very important aspect of capturing any type of photographs for that matter, but when it comes to winter photography it is more important than ever. You should be able to judge the surroundings and come to a decision as to when you have to go out to take the perfect picture. Photo sites upload photos that have been taken at the right times. Snow does not fall at once. Meaning, you should understand when the right amount of snow has fallen so that you can go outside and take the perfect pictures. If there is too much snow, there will not be any other colour in your pictures. If there is too less snow, there will not be any white that is usually associated with winter. If you are in a place that does not snow, well, you will definitely have to worry about fog. If there is too much fog, it does not matter how amazing the scene is supposed to look, your camera or your phone will never be able to capture a proper picture, plus it is dangerous to go out when there is too much fog.
