Design

The case is made of black plastic. Around the metal mount there is a rubber sealing ring that prevents moisture and dust from entering the camera. The lens is equipped with a fast and quiet SWM ultrasonic AF drive.

Image quality

How sharp is the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f / 1.8G ED ? Let's study test frames. At f / 1.8, the lens gives excellent sharpness in the center of the image, but the picture is less detailed at the edges of the frame. A slight vignetting is also noticeable. The latter, by the way, can be used as a creative technique, adding additional volume to the frame. Vignetting is easy to fix during processing. The simplest scenario is that you came with a friend to a cafe or restaurant and want to capture your companion in a beautifully designed space. A lens with a focal length of 24 mm allows you to best show both the model and the environment in the photo.
