A little over a year ago, as part of the Mobile World Congress 2018, we saw an interesting and beautiful smartphone ZTE Blade V9. At the same time, he belonged to the middle price segment, but he offered good power, a good camera, and a case made of glass and metal. When the device came to us for a test, we were very surprised: the ZTE Blade V9 was able to impress and even after a year remains for us one of the best solutions for its price. It is the price-performance ratio that attracts attention today, and here the ZTE Blade V9 has something to brag about. Get the price of ZTE Blade V10 We will talk about his follower ZTE Blade V10 , and at the same time give a brief description of the younger model ZTE Blade 10 Vita , which is almost no different in appearance. The design of the ZTE Blade V10 has changed compared to last year: a kind of glass and metal sandwich has been replaced by a simpler and more conservative plastic case with a smooth back. The smartphone ZTE Blade V10 has a dual camera with a resolution of 16 and 5 megapixels. The second camera is responsible for determining the depth of the scene. By the way, its aperture is F2.4. The main one is equipped with a wide-angle lens with an aperture of F1.8. The pixel size is 1.12 microns. It has phase detection autofocus and a two-tone LED flash. The front camera is located in the drop-shaped cutout in the center of the display from above. It is also equipped with a wide-angle lens, the resolution is 32 megapixels. The aperture of this lens is F2.0.

ZTE Blade V10 photo review

Last year, the seemingly modest ZTE Blade V9 turned out to be a "universal soldier" who manages shooting both day and night, indoors and out. Therefore, expectations before the Blade V10 test were moderate, but we prepared for the fact that the device, despite the average price segment, will pleasantly surprise us.

We did not change ourselves and started the test in good daylight conditions, when the devices usually show their best side, but at the same time a number of problems may appear that are exacerbated in more difficult conditions. The test was held in two capitals: in Moscow and Stockholm. So the material turned out to be unusual and diverse.

What do we see in good light conditions? The correct color reproduction and the exact work of the focus, the selection of white balance. The pictures are clear, but not without the oversharp, which is noticeable on one hundred percent crop.

The wide-angle lens does its job perfectly: there is no distortion, and in general, the picture from the smartphone looks good both on the smartphone screen and on the monitor.

It is worth noting that the smartphone has an HDR mode, and by default it turns on automatically. It can be turned on / off with one touch - the interface has a special button. The device copes well with dark and overexposed fragments, so you can count on the operation of automation in this mode in difficult shooting conditions. The smartphone has a dual camera and, as we noted earlier, the main one is responsible for measuring the depth of field and works in the “Portrait” and “Blur” modes. The device confidently copes with its work and handles even complex contours well.

But even without the use of a special mode, you can achieve beautiful bokeh. We often use this technique when shooting small objects, in this case a magnolia flower.

The ZTE Blade V10 has an interesting “Color Swap” mode, which we noted in the Axon 9 Pro smartphone: it allows you to select one of the primary colors in the picture, doing the rest in black and white. You can select a color from the palette or click on the right one on the screen. The mode works quite well.

And of course, there is no escape from the Panorama mode, which is doing its job: gluing is not visible, nothing is falling in geometry. There may be some problems with exposure, but not critical.
ZTE Blade V1000RU Installation:
Having dealt with almost all modes, we moved into rooms with artificial lighting. Both in Moscow and in Stockholm they filmed at metro stations: beautiful architectural solutions, complex light - ideal conditions for the test. And the ZTE Blade V10 did not stop and gave out everything that it is capable of.

The device almost always picked the right white balance and showed the right color rendering, detail was also at a high level. We again noticed oversharp on one hundred percent crop, but this did not become a big problem. The Stockholm metro has dark lobbies with contrasting light, so the smartphone brought the shutter speed to 1/33 and increased ISO. It is worth noting that the camera does not have optical image stabilization, but the pictures turned out clear.

We took a few more pictures in the Vasa Museum. Shadow reigns in it in order to keep the ship of the 17th century as long as possible. And again, the ZTE Blade V10 took a quality shot.

ZTE Blade V10 performed well both in the evening and at night. And this despite the lack of optical image stabilization. Of course, no one cancels the fact that the smartphone should be held as confidently and firmly as possible, but more importantly, its camera can take a high-quality picture. Perhaps the main disappointment is automation, which periodically loses white balance. Because of this, many pictures were taken manually. But nothing critical happens, the automation is a little buried in a warm gamut.

One of the features of the ZTE Blade V10 is the presence of the manual mode and the RAW format, which is almost not found in this price segment. It is very convenient to check the menu so that frames are always duplicated in RAW format when shooting in manual mode. Then you can quickly and easily return to the files and edit them. The local RAW format is flexible and allows you to change the color temperature and work within one and a half steps of exposure.

It should be recalled that the ZTE Blade V10 has a 32MP front camera with F2.0 aperture. It has become customary that in the selfie camera, beautification is turned on, which does a good job of it and turns off at a value of 0. There is also a “Portrait” mode, in which the front camera blurs the background. The contours are worked out very well despite the only sensor and the absence of special sensors.

ZTE Blade V10 Vita. Short description and photos

The ZTE Blade V10 has a younger brother V10 Vita with an almost identical design. Differences in the camera (including the interface) and power. During the test, we took V10 Vita first and even mistook it for a regular V10, disappointed in the presence of a microUSB port. By the way, thanks to this, you can easily distinguish between devices. The ZTE Blade V10 Vita has a smaller and simpler screen: an IPS panel with a diagonal of 6.26 inches and a resolution of 720 × 1520 pixels. The processor is also simpler here - the eight-core UNISOC SC9863A with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz. In Russia, two versions will be available with different options for RAM and storage: 2 + 32 and 3 + 64 GB. The camera is also dual, but a bit simpler: 13 megapixels, F2.0 with autofocus and LED flash + 2 megapixels, F2.4. The second camera is used to determine the depth of the scene. The interface looks much simpler, plus there is no manual mode and RAW format. Here are the shots taken on the ZTE Blade V10 Vita :

ZTE Blade V10. conclusions

ZTE Blade V10 again pleasantly surprised. It seems time to get used to the fact that in the middle price segment there is a serious fighter in the market, which, among other things, has such unusual functions for this price segment as manual mode and RAW format. Compared to last year, the smartphone received a simpler design and a plastic case. Unfortunately, the latter can be scratched, but ZTE took care of protecting the smartphone, so the silicone case is included. Blade V10 confidently balances between price and features. There is no powerful processor here, but the device practically does not slow down, moreover, almost naked Android is on board. We also noted a high-quality display with wide viewing angles and sufficient brightness, which only a very bright sun can withstand. As for autonomy, it also did not raise questions: the device worked for a long time and confidently and took a large number of shots on a single battery charge. And again, the balance is: 3200 mAh is not the largest capacity for modern batteries, but here is an energy-efficient processor, display and a well-optimized system shell. The camera proved to be very, very universal. Despite the lack of optical image stabilization, automation does not seek to set a high ISO or high shutter speed, so the pictures are clear. Among the minuses - overhaul already familiar to most smartphones. Among the pluses - confident work in the "Portrait" and "Blur" modes, as well as manual mode and RAW format. The younger brother - ZTE Blade V10 Vita - has a simpler processor, the screen resolution is lower than that of the cameras, but it also showed a good performance. ZTE Blade V10 turned out to be very easy to use, but at the same time quite an interesting smartphone, which has an excellent price-performance ratio. Pros:
  • high-quality IPS display;
  • universal dual camera;
  • high-quality work in the "Portrait" and "Blur" modes;
  • manual mode and RAW format;
  • good front camera;
  • fast work;
  • the presence of NFC;
  • good autonomy;
  • fingerprint scanner at the back;
  • 3.5 mm audio jack.
Minuses:
  • no stereo speakers;
  • the case can catch scratches (a protective case is included);
  • tendency to overshoot on images
  • lack of optical image stabilization;
  • there is no super wide angle and / or zoom lens;
  • small problems with determining the white balance in the dark.
