You already know that we always bet on immortalizing our images in whatever format. It is the only way to give them life, to make them present, to make us return to the moments they represent. That trip, that person, those girls who are getting older every day…
Along these lines, we like to try different formats that we think you might like. This time we are going to test the magnets of the Cewe laboratory, since we find it an original format and a cheerful way to bring your images to life.
In addition, Mother's Day is approaching, perhaps for many even more deserved than other years, you know what I mean. So why not? It is not the first product we have tested with Cewe and the results are really good. If you are interested in other formats to give as gifts, each one of us analyzed different formats: the canvas , the forex and the photo album .
And now, let's get to the point ?
ORDERING MAGNETS STEP BY STEP
The first thing you should do is enter www.cewe.esand go to the section that interests you. In our case, we will go to Gifts->Magnets.
You will see that within Cewe you have four magnet options to choose from: square, heart-shaped, personalized photo-magnets, or ceramic. Each with different prices.
In my case, I opted for the squares, so those are the ones I'll tell you about ? and I'll do it through Cewe's Quick Workshop which, to be honest, is really fast.
This particular option offers a pack of 10 magnets, so we can choose 10 different images to immortalize.
The first step is to choose the photos in question. To do this, go to the left area of the interface, where it says My photos , and click Upload photos . You can choose up to 10 different photos.
As you do so, you will see that a click will appear at the top of the image next to each photo number (I have marked it with a 2 in the screenshot below). When you have all 10 photos, all the checked boxes will appear. You can move through your photos from the same upper area.
The image of the upper area (2) that you have selected will appear large below. It is very important that you check the image quality for each of your photos. This information is shown below the selected image: Photo resolution (3) . This can be good, enough or bad. In case it was enough or bad, I would look for a substitute image.
If you feel like it or are interested, before finalizing your order, under the import zone (1) you can add Cliparts, text or freely paint over your image.
Once you are satisfied with the images and have checked the resolution etc., you can go to the next step: Add to cart (4).
In short, in the main panel of the Cewe interface for ordering magnets, you will find:
- Image import (below you will find tools to add text, small illustrations or draw freely)
- Once imported you can move from one to another in the upper part of the interface. The selected image will appear large below.
- Make sure that the resolution of each image is Fine.
- Add the product to the basket
Next, the Shopping Cart will be displayed , where you should check that everything is correct (that you have not put more than one unit if you did not want to, etc.). If everything is correct, go to the bottom right: Payment method.
It is possible that if this is the first time you are working with Cewe and you were not logged in before, you should log in here before continuing.
Then, you simply have to fill in the necessary information for shipping and payment and you have it. A new page will appear confirming that the order has been made correctly and you can save as a pdf. the order receipt.
Instantly, you will receive the order confirmation with all the reference data in the email that you have provided.
SENDING AN ORDER WITH CEWE
Once the magnets have been printed, they will send you an e-mail confirming that your order has already finished the production phase and that they will proceed to send it to you. In my case, it took exactly 6 days to print the magnets.
Exactly two days after sending me the email and the invoice as they had finished printing my order, the package arrived: 2 days. Taking into account that in Spain and half the world we are in full confinement due to COVID-19, it seemed amazingly fast to me. Exactly the same days as when I ordered the canvas a few months ago.
Total time: 8 days.
The magnets arrived in a cardboard envelope and in turn in a perfectly protected rigid box.
To tell you the truth, the quality seemed great to me, I was pleasantly surprised, both in the color images and in the black and white ones. Blacks are black, whites are white, and colors bear this impression very well.
RECOMMENDATIONS
I usually like to look for "tricky" lights when I take photos. I love the hard lights, the marked shadows, the interior punctual lights. After analyzing them, although they all pass the quality test, it is evident that the ones that work best are the ones that are simplest in terms of lighting.
As for any type of print of this type, I suggest that you look for images with more homogeneous lights, they are the ones that have given me the best results. Now, as I told you, you should expect the same from these magnets as from any non-personalized print. If the base is good, the result is good ;).
Because I already told you that, I have not made it easy with the type of photos that I have sent, and I am pleasantly surprised with the result.
Here you have an example in color and in black and white so that you can judge the result. Always remember that the natural ones are better, there is always a camera and a screen in the middle until they reach you;).
