Photography or videography is not about just pressing the button of the camera & then printing the samples or watching the recorded samples it's more than that. One cannot take photography classes to learn photography, but if they want to improve their skills, then they can join these photography classes. One can learn many things from a photography class doesn't matter that they are a videographer. The memory card is the most valuable thing for a photographer after their camera because it has all they want, all their lives work is stored in this so one should make a wise decision while selecting a memory card for photography camera. Here are some steps to go through while buying a memory card-
- Inbuilt memory- Today as the technology has raised the bars by which some cameras also come with an inbuilt memory card which has enough space for one to store the photos. So one has to check whether their cameras has an inbuilt memory or not. But in case of aerial photography which is done by high-resolution camera & that requires a memory card with enough space so this inbuilt thing will be useless in case of aerial photography.
- Compatibility factor- Not every camera support every type of the memory card so one should check the compatibility factor of that camera either on the instruction manual or on some useful photography sites. Some cameras come with a list of selected company’s memory card that they will only support these. This is one of the most important factors as using the wrong type of memory card that might affect the camera in a bad way.
- Different classes of memory card- There are many types of memory cards, so based on their classes one can differentiate from others.
- Primary or secondary- As stated above that some cameras come with inbuilt memory card & some don’t come with inbuilt memory card. But having an inbuilt memory card doesn't always mean that it is sufficient for any type of use. So if the inbuilt memory is not enough, then there will a memory card used which will act as a secondary memory which means if the internal memory gets filled then only files will copy into the secondary storage which is the memory card. If the camera doesn't come with internal memory, then a proper memory card will be needed for this which will act as primary memory.
