Sometimes, looking at the pictures, you find that extra objects got into the frame. Or you need a photo to place the logo, but there are already other inscriptions on it. How to remove the inscription from the picture and remove the excess object in Photoshop? For these tasks, use the Clone Stamp Tool or the Patch Tool . The latter is preferable if the excess object is located on a simpler (plain) background. Working with the Patch Tool , we cut out (copy) the donor area and close everything that is unnecessary to it. How it works? Hold the left mouse button, circle the appropriate area and move the patch. This tool has two modes:
- "Source" / Source . When using it, the selected area will be filled with a donor fragment into which the selection is moved.
- "Destination" / Destination . In this mode, the selected area will cover the area in which it will be moved.
Patch Tool
Open the photo in Photoshop and create a duplicate layer ( Ctrl + J ). On the toolbar in the group of recovery tools, select "Patch" / Patch Tool . If the tool in the group is by default, just press the J key . To make it more convenient to work with the image, scale it ( Ctrl + and Ctrl- ). We will remove the Shell logo. So, we select the first donor site. On the control panel, click the "Destination" button , set the "Diffusion" parameter to 7. Turn the cursor over and draw around the patch area (it is highlighted with a dotted line). Then drag the selected area onto the logo. If the patch does not completely cover the painted area from the first time, move it again until the unwanted object disappears completely. Cancel the wrong action can simultaneously pressing the Ctrl + the Alt + the Z . Save the finished image ( Shift + Ctrl + S ), choosing a file type that is convenient for you (for example, JPG).
