If cameras, and the photography industry as a whole, have evolved a lot in recent decades, why the heck is photography still taught using methods typical of past times?
In the 11 years of life of Blog del Fotógrafo, we have contributed to the dissemination and teaching of photography through photography books, courses, not to mention the free content that we publish on the blog several times a week.
However, books and courses are still certainly “traditional” learning methods. Tens of thousands of readers and students have enjoyed our publications and courses, but we must recognize that for a good part of the people who aspire to learn photography, a book or a photography course are slow, thick learning methods that require time. , commitment and dedication in the medium or long term.
Learning photography with a book or an entire course is still a great way to learn. The thing is, it's not the IDEAL method for everyone.
Unintentionally, for years we have neglected a large number of people who love photography, who have a decent camera, who enjoy appreciating a "great photo" and who feel an irrepressible desire to learn and practice with their camera, but who did not have the necessary formal time to sit down regularly to study a book, or to take a course made up of different modules and units.
Early last year I had a “genesis” moment, the typical moment when, while looking in the mirror, shaving your face, or driving home on the freeway almost on autopilot, you suddenly frown and let go. “ Wait a minute… Damn… how come we hadn't thought of that before? ”.
A year and a half and a lot of work later, my most ambitious photography dissemination project to date is a reality: for a few weeks now, the readers of Blog del Fotografo have been enjoying Mario's MasterClasses, the new and revolutionary way of learning and practice photography.
Mario's MasterClass is not a book, it is not a course, it is a completely different learning model, based on learning exactly what you need at the moment you need it.
Although you can purchase a separate MasterClass on a specific topic, the subscription option gives you access to an entire MasterClass catalog, each one on a specific photographic topic: photography in manual mode, lighting, composition, portrait photography, macro, newborns , among others.
Each MasterClass is presented in video format, with a duration of about 30 to 45 minutes normally.
Along with each MasterClass you will find a PDF worksheet that you can download and use to put the knowledge from the MasterClass in question into practice.
In addition to the current catalogue, the annual subscription entitles you to all future MasterClasses that we add to the catalogue. We are working to add new MasterClasses regularly.
Users of Las MasterClass de Mario will also be able to enjoy exclusive access to “ Los Directos de Mario ”. It is a live session in which a server will cover different photographic topics and will answer the doubts and questions that users ask live.
This will be a recurring session that you can attend as many times as you need. If you have always had doubts or questions, this may be the right place and time to raise them and have them answered.
As I said before, Las MasterClasses de Mario is the most ambitious and perhaps most exciting project that I have undertaken to date. And although I am the visible face, this is possible thanks to the effort and support of the incredible team that accompanies me.
If you like photography, I invite you to discover this revolutionary photographic learning method here. Welcome to Mario's MasterClass .
