MY RECOMMENDATION IN EVIL CAMERAS IS CALLED «NIKON 1» (J1, J2, V2… ETC.)

I can't think of a better way to introduce Nikon 1 (with its versions J1, J2, J3, V1, V2 and S1) than with the following text, this is the internal debate that occurs in the minds of some future camera buyers of photos normally: Typically, you want to buy a camera and you are a sea of doubt. A SLR made and right is very large in size, cumbersome to carry, and you just left it in a dead drawer of boredom. The compact ones ... are too little a thing, right? Questionable image quality, very limited manual control, and with the piece of camera you have on your mobile, a compact one does not make much sense. And the bridge? Are the bridges okay or what? Man, I don't know what to tell you. Bulky (not as much as SLR, but somewhat bulky), the quality is not much better than that of a compact, and above you can not exchange the objectives. If you identify with the previous text, you could be a few lines away from finding the solution. Welcome to the EVIL concept

EVIL CAMERAS?

For simplicity and convenience we will not go into the explanation of the origin of the name of this type of cameras, EVIL. Let it be called EVIL. What does matter is knowing what they consist of, how they are, what they offer and what they lack. The EVIL are, said soon, the result of a marriage between a digital SLR camera and a compact one . They combine a size as small as a compact camera, along with a sensor as large and powerful as that of a SLR camera and the possibility of exchanging lenses according to the photo that we are going to take at each moment, as well as in SLR cameras. An EVIL is practically an SLR to which they have reduced the external size and devoid of any internal component that caused those giant dimensions that the SLRs have. Go ahead that to me this genetic engineering of «I take a SLR here, I take this away, I add this another one of the compact ones, and here I have a new « race » of cameras» like I'm not doing much, I'm a little Classic, old school. I love SLR cameras. Being big doesn't bother me. Fascinates me. So you'll never see me with an EVIL. For now, come ok. That said, EVILs are wonderful. Seriously, the user who aspires to have a quality of a SLR but who finds it very cumbersome to walk with 1 kilo of camera on top, an EVIL solves his life. In the market there are many brands that make EVIL cameras. Today I would like to introduce you to one that now has a very good reputation among users of this type of cameras. It's called Nikon 1 and it has a few versions. It is basically the same, but with different prices and "extras".

IN ADDITION TO TAKING PICTURES .. WHAT DOES THIS NIKON 1 DO?

  • Ultra fast: If something distinguishes these cameras is how quickly they operate. Fast in everything: Turn on fast, respond to fast shooting (it can give the feeling that you take the picture before we shoot), focus fast, and in its manual mode it reaches a shooting speed of 1 / 16,000s (to put it in context , a basic SLR reaches 1 / 4,000s, the magnificent Nikon D7000 shoots at 1 / 8,000s, the Nikon 1 directly doubles it).
  • Slow motion video : The one that records video in Full HD is no longer a feature to highlight now that all cameras offer it. What does impress me is that, if we usually record a video at 60fps (frames per second) we can get really impressive slow-motion scenes, the Nikon 1 can record reaching 1,200 fps. If you want to know what that is, take a look at this video recorded with another camera but at a speed of 1,000 fps. You will understand my state of excitement when I talk about these things
  • Compatibility of lenses: Nikon has developed 6 different lenses made specifically for its Nikon 1 cameras. Among them the NIKKOR 32mm f / 1.2, a delight. As if that were not enough, the Nikon FT1 adapter also allows you to place any Nikkor lens of normal SLRs on our Nikon 1.

OKAY .. NIKON 1 BUT WHICH OF ALL ITS VERSIONS?

Do not complicate your life: the cheapest without a doubt. Let's see, there each user with their needs and economic possibilities. This is not a scientific fact but rather a subjective opinion of mine: once you have a Nikon 1 in hand, the differences between its different versions (J1, V1, J3, S1, etc.) are minimal. The brands here only seek to hook and entangle the undecided user by putting the odd extra in exchange for sometimes twice the price. If you have a Nikon 1 , whatever version, it doesn't matter, you'll be happy, listen to me. Right now the cheapest versions are V1 and J1 if I'm not mistaken. If you want to get the latest version, since you wear it, and you can afford it, I don't see it as a bad idea. But I insist, the differences are really minimal and do not justify the price differences. So, my recommendation: go for the most affordable price (compare prices before buying, I recommend Amazon for its after-sales service and its generally very good prices), save yourself the rest of the money to catch more goals that you will need . Well, it's all for today. Take good pictures.
