PHOTORETO125: FEAR

PHOTORETO125: FEAR

I bring you a new theme so that you can go get your camera and practice your favorite hobby: photography.

Our Photo Challenge aims to encourage you to practice photography , to provoke you every week so that you spend some time with your camera and let your creativity fly while you practice and learn.

HOW PHOTORETO WORKS

The concept of Fotoreto is very simple: every Friday I will propose a new photographic topic. Sometimes I will show you an example photo to inspire you, other times I will simply give you a clue or a little trick that you can apply when making the Photograph.

On each occasion you will have 7 days to participate in the Photo Challenge of the week in question, until the following Thursday. Upload as many photos as you want to your favorite social network ( Instagramor Facebook) without forgetting the hashtag or label corresponding to the photo challenge in question along with the mention of @blogfotografo . This week will be #Fotoreto125. You can participate with new photos or tag old ones.

Each week we will select a winning image. The author of the photo will have free access to the Photography Masterclass of their choice.

When you participate in the Photo Challenge, we understand that you allow the Photographer's Blog to publish your photograph. In no case do you give us your copyright. The author of the image and who maintains the exclusivity of the copyright remains you.

THEME OF THE WEEK: FEAR (10/29/21-11/04/21)

In the next few days, Halloween, the day of the dead, the deceased saints, etc. are celebrated. Depending on the place, the "festivity" and the way of living it can vary a lot, what they do have in common is fear. Either because of the scares, because of the cemeteries or because of the elaborate make-up, in the end one way or the other is palpable in the environment.

There are many ways to transmit fear or mystery in your photos , in the link you have some, and in this other article a lot of ideas to lose fear on Halloween . And you have a week to practice all these forms. Go! What are you afraid of?

Add the hashtag #fotoreto125, the mention @blogfotografo and don't forget to give your photos a title. One of our Masterclasses can be yours, what are you waiting for?!

UPDATE

Wow, wow, what a surprise, we didn't know you liked this theme so much! We will have to repeat. You can see the participating photos on Instagramand Facebook.

Today's featured photograph belongs to Mónica Corrales ( @nikycs) and has the following text as its title:

«I conjure the air for speed,
the fire to purify,
the water to bless,
the earth to manifest
and the spirit to seal».

On this occasion, technique and art come together to form a scary image . A long exposure to capture the stars and get good lighting in an abandoned place , as well as the presence of the ghost.

We like it because it has used the technique to tell a story that conveys, in this case, fear, of course.

This is not one of those photos that appears by chance, but rather there is a lot behind it: an idea, planning and preparation.

Nor is it the typical photo that comes out the first time, but is the result of practice and perseverance. And that is one of the objectives of the Photo Challenge, that you do not stop practicing.

Congratulations Monica!

Tomorrow, a new Photoreto, one that has nothing to do with it but that personally gives me a little bit of fear. Do you want to know what it is? Do not miss it!
