POLAROID NOW: TECHNOLOGY AND NOSTALGIA UNITE TO CONQUER YOU

POLAROID NOW: TECHNOLOGY AND NOSTALGIA UNITE TO CONQUER YOU

Today I am here to talk to you about the Polaroid Now instant camera . With the aesthetics of the legendary Polaroid but with an impressive multitude of colors available and very interesting features to get even more creative photos.

Analog photography not only has not died, but is reinventing itself day by day, drinking from some technological advances but without losing the romanticism of the instantaneity of the mythical, and more current than ever, Polaroid cameras.

POLAROID NOW FEATURES

This instant camera that drinks from the designs of the 80s comes, however, with some improvements worthy of this millennium ;).

The most notable feature of this Polaroid is the Autofocus which undoubtedly represents a notable improvement over the original Polaroids.

Another interesting feature is the possibility of creating double exposure images, a very creative and easy-to-use tool. By pressing a button located on the front, you indicate that you are going to take a double exposure, and thus the photograph will not come out until you have taken a second photograph.

For those who dream of taking their own photos from time to time for a change, this Polaroid has a timer, a hit and an improvement over its old sisters.

Something that is also appreciated is that this camera does not take batteries or need battery reels, since it has an integrated battery that is easily charged by cable.

Regarding the possibility of compensating the exposure, this is possible although not very intuitive. This option is located on the same button that controls flash off. You have to take it into account because once you know it, it's not difficult to use it, but it's not easy to find it if you don't read the instruction manual well ? (which we always recommend, you already know).

And of course, we must not forget its design, because this camera not only enters through the eyes ? and in 10 colors (which one is more beautiful), but it is super easy to use, so that you practically only focus on composing and shooting .

HOW TO TAKE PICTURES WITH A POLAROID NOW

This instant camera is very easy to use, but if you want to know how the Polaroid Now works , we will see it step by step.

  1. The first thing you should do is make sure your camera has a battery. The battery indicator is on one side of your camera, as you can see in the images below.
  2. Then you must load the reel as indicated in the instructions on the packaging itself. To open the camera, you will find a round button on the opposite side of the entrance to charge the battery.
  3. Once the spool is inserted, turn on the camera with the power button. Every time you insert a new film, the camera will automatically eject the protector that protects the photographs so that they do not blur.
  4. You are now ready to take your first photograph.
  5. Once you have the frame you are looking for, press the shutter and autofocus will be activated while you take your photo.
  6. Keep in mind that the Polaroid Now flash is automatic. You can disable it on the flash button located on the back of the camera. If you press once, it will be deactivated for that shot only, if you press twice, it will be deactivated for all the photos you take before turning off the camera.
  7. Make sure you are at least 55cm from your subject if you want it to come out in focus.
  8. If you want to do a double exposure with Polaroid Now, activate this feature on the front of your Polaroid (see images below) and take two pictures. You will see that the photograph does not come out of the camera until you have taken the second one.
  9. Through the same button you can also access the 9s timer.
  10. Once you press the shutter, the paper will come out of the slot on the front of your camera. Do not air it to dry or touch it outside the frames as this could damage it. Yes, you should keep it in a place away from sunlight and wait the minutes indicated by the film before taking it out into the light. This way you will get it to be revealed correctly while respecting its colors.
  11. Once you take the photo, you can see on the counter located on the back, how many photos you have left to take.
  12. Turn off the camera so as not to spend more battery than necessary ? .

One of the most used features is the small LCD screen that works as a photo counter, but also tells us if we are doing a double exposure, at what point we are, if we have run out of film, if we are too close, etc.

I leave you with a list with all the information that this small screen offers us:

POLAROID NOW REVIEWS

The opinions of the users of the Polaroid Now are very good. They emphasize the ease of use, and above all the experience with it.

On Amazon it has more than 2,600 opinions with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5, which is a really high rating.

However, you should keep in mind that this is an analog camera. The results will never be perfect, the light will be difficult for you to control, you will not always hit the focus and sharpness will not be your strong point.

But therein lies the grace of this type of analogue. If the essence is what you are looking for, then surely you cannot go wrong with it.
