If the new Alpha A200 was just the second camera in the lineup of Sony DSLRs, it would not be entirely clear why it had to be released at all. Its differences from the predecessor Alpha A100, which appeared almost two years ago, are so insignificant that they hardly reflect the true motives of the developers.
All the differences between “two hundred” and “hundred” can be literally counted on the fingers. The screen increased slightly (2.7 inches versus 2.5), the second mode selection head disappeared (the Fn button now performs its function), a separate button for setting the sensitivity value appeared (which now, by the way, can rise to ISO 3200) and ... the repeater disappeared aperture. You won’t believe it, but these are all changes, unless, of course, you take into account minor cosmetic and software corrections!
