This week we dress in orange. Are you in?
HOW DOES IT WORK? (REMINDER)
Every week I will propose a new challenge , it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, going through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The topics will be proposed on Saturdays, so that you have the whole weekend to work on them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and I will propose a new topic, and so…
WEEKLY CHALLENGE 115: ORANGE
Orange is a dynamic color, which transmits a lot of energy. We have already discussed on other occasions that colors can be used in photography to convey sensations or emotions . Today's challenge is exactly that, to provoke some emotion in the viewer through this color. You can use it as a vitamin and energy pill in your photography or on the contrary, cause some kind of contrast like the one in the cover photo. I put the theme, you the creativity.
Do not forget to put a title to your photo, and "Orange" is not worth it because it is not original, it does not tell anything about the photo and it is also the title of the challenge. Title your image is also a good photographic exercise and very necessary. practice it.
As usual, to participate in this week's challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wallfrom the Photographer's Blog: In the description of the photo please mention the keyword “Orange Challenge” followed by a title of your choice.
ALTERNATIVE MEANS TO PARTICIPATE
For those of you who are not from Facebook, I have enabled new social networks to participate.
- Flickr: Accessing the Photographer's Blog Group Wall and uploading the photo directly. Give your photo a caption and be sure to mention “Orange Challenge” in it.
- Twitter: uploading the photo directly to Twitter with the hashtag #RetoNaranjaBdF
Happy photography.
UPDATE
How great you are! Every time I view your photos and see such quantity and quality, I repeat the same thing to myself. Thank you, thank you and thank you, for making this challenge possible every week.
On this occasion I am going to highlight the image (without a title, ahem, ahem…) by Mario Ajona. An impressive macro, with excellent light and focus. The composition is spectacular, as he has managed to highlight the center of interest through the rule of thirds, the contrast of colors and the depth of field. It is an impeccable photograph on a technical and aesthetic level, but also, it has achieved something far beyond a wonderful macro. Many insect macros (and more than one fly) tend to have that boring and cold laboratory air... However, this photograph is not. Orange brings such warmth to the fly that it seems to have undergone a reverse metamorphosis to the one we know from the movie "The Fly" or from Kafka's book. In this case, the fly seems to have become almost an endearing pet or a delicate living being. With such a warm environment, which surrounds her as if it were a home, it gives the impression that this unattractive insect is about to become a beautiful butterfly. Of course that is not possible, but photography stimulates the imagination and what is not capable of achieving the imagination together with a good photographic eye? Congratulations Mario!
