Do you like water? Today I have prepared a challenge for you to get wet without getting wet ?
HOW DOES IT WORK? (REMINDER)
Every week I will propose a new challenge , it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, going through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The topics will be proposed on Fridays , so that you have the whole weekend to work on them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Thursdayof the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and on Friday I will propose a new topic so that you have the whole weekend to capture your images, and so on…
WEEKLY CHALLENGE 154: AQUATIC REFLEXES (FROM 04/08/2016 TO 04/14/2016)
Water offers multiple (not to say infinite) possibilities when it comes to being photographed, many of which we have discussed on the blog. Today I propose a challenge that is almost a game. A way to have fun while practicing your favorite hobby: looking for drawings and reflections in the water.
The challenge is to achieve an interesting or attractive photograph with a background of water and a reflection as the subject, which can be a recognizable shape, 'patterns' or even something abstract. It is about letting creativity run free while you work on composition, focus or shutter speed. You can practice black and white or play with color . You dare?
As usual, to participate in this week's challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wallfrom the Photographer's Blog: In the photo description please mention the keyword “Water Reflections Challenge” followed by a title of your choice .
ALTERNATIVE MEANS TO PARTICIPATE
Those of you who are not from Facebook have the following social networks to participate.
- Flickr: Accessing the Photographer's Blog Group Wall and uploading the photo directly. Give your photo a title and be sure to mention “Water Reflexes Challenge” in it.
- Twitter: uploading the photo directly to Twitter with the hashtag #RetoReflejosAcuáticosBdF
Happy photography.
UPDATE
And here you have the summary of the aquatic reflections that we have received. Enjoy them!
And this week, the featured photograph is by Beatriz Cuesta, who brings us in the form of an image an endearing story entitled "In her world". It is a very well executed photograph in terms of exposure, focus and composition. With the addition of a shot at the height of the girls, which makes it more attractive and the idea of turning the image around and giving the reflection a greater role. In addition, the two girls are framed by the building, leaving the reflected figures as a clear center of interest. And photography lives not only on technique... here is a story of two friends who play oblivious to everything that surrounds them, and I go further, because I give it a second reading. For me, rotating this image not only has an aesthetic effect, with this rotation it is evident that what we think is another world (that of children), what we believe that, like a reflection, is not real, is the opposite. The world of children is the authentic, the pure, the one that is not contaminated or corrupted, the one that is innocent and true. Which reality is the true one, that of the water or that of the outside, ours or that of the children? Plato would have it very clear and I, now that I am a mother and experience it more closely, too ? Congratulations Beatriz, a beautiful photo!
