WEEKLY CHALLENGE 71: THREE

WEEKLY CHALLENGE 71: THREE

Three sad tigers were wheating in a… Does anyone know why they were sad? Maybe that's why two's company and three's a crowd. However, we like the number three and that will be the theme for this week's challenge.

HOW DOES IT WORK? (REMINDER)

Every week I will propose a new challenge , it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, going through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The topics will be proposed on Saturdays, so that you have the whole weekend to work on them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and I will propose a new topic, and so…

WEEKLY CHALLENGE 71: THREE

We talk about the number three, but not the number itself. What we ask of you this week are images with three elements. In photography, one element transmits calm and loneliness, while with two elements we reflect balance, but so much so that the image can even be boring. A third element in the scene breaks that balance by adding dynamism and making the photo more attractive.

It does not matter what elements you use, from flowers like in the cover image to pins or people, as long as there are three elements and only three. What does matter is that your photography is well composed , framed , focused (or with selective blur ), that you violate the rules of composition if it is with some intention or that you use negative space to compose or perspective . Show us that the tips we give you on the blog are useful to you and above all that you apply them when practicing your favorite hobby.

Remember: three elements, like the Holy Trinity, the three stages of life, the three musketeers or the three sad tigers, but may they be favored ? .

As usual, to participate in this week's challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wallfrom the Photographer's Blog:  In the photo description please mention the keyword “Challenge Three” followed by a title of your choice.

UPDATE

Thank you once again for your massive participation in the weekly challenge. It is a pleasure to see your enthusiasm for photography and for putting into practice what you have learned on the blog. I leave you a sample of the images received:

Although I have loved the "animated" capsules (a point for creativity), the "challenging" ducklings, the "tired" three, the perfect high-key plums and the low-key reflected flowers... this time I'll stick with " The cycle of life» by MCarmen Santaella Escolano because it has struck a chord with me and this highlights the subjective nature of the choice. Maybe a few months ago I would have chosen another photo (or not), someone else might have selected another image (who knows). What is clear is that today I stay with this image because it has told me a story and has made me remember another, my own. It has reminded me how lucky I have been to have enjoyed so many years of my grandmother, her love, her experience, her wisdom and, above all, her joy. And she has hit me with reality, how much I miss her. And that is the best thing about a photograph, that it tells you something, that it moves you, that it transmits to you. And if you also add that on this occasion three was the protagonist and the three elements are present three times: three hands, three generations, three lives... the result is round. The image presents us with three joined hands, united by love in a roulette wheel that shapes the cycle of life, as the author herself mentions in the title. Mother, daughter and grandmother connected with a bond that goes far beyond the physical. united by love in a roulette wheel that shapes the cycle of life, as mentioned by the author herself in the title. Mother, daughter and grandmother connected with a bond that goes far beyond the physical. united by love in a roulette wheel that shapes the cycle of life, as mentioned by the author herself in the title. Mother, daughter and grandmother connected with a bond that goes far beyond the physical.

Black and white is a success to focus all our attention on the feeling and to give it greater drama, like the black background, which avoids any distraction. And look at the texture, it seems that we can caress those wrinkles so full of life and stories to tell. Congratulations M Carmen! And thanks for moving me.
