WEEKLY CHALLENGE 76: COOKING

WEEKLY CHALLENGE 76: COOKING

The kitchen is a laboratory of sensations and emotions and this week is also our setting for the weekly challenge.

HOW DOES IT WORK? (REMINDER)

Every week I will propose a new challenge , it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, going through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The topics will be proposed on Saturdays, so that you have the whole weekend to work on them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and I will propose a new topic, and so…

WEEKLY CHALLENGE 76: COOKING

If you are thinking that we are repeating the challenge, it is that you are a faithful follower of the blog, but it is not exactly like that. A little over a year ago, the “ Gastronomy ” challenge was called , which consisted of preparing a plate of food and photographing it. This time we go further. We are not only interested in the result, we want to see that creative process, the soul of every kitchen, the ingredients, utensils and the wonderful artists who painstakingly turn the ingredients into pure magic for our palates.

We challenge you to photograph any element that is related to the kitchen, that part of the house so full of history, aromas and special moments. Have you noticed that many parties start and end in the kitchen? Probably, in other cultures, this room in the house is not as important as in ours, but for us it is. The kitchen is a fundamental part of a home, it is where we feed our stomach and our soul through long conversations with tea in hand while the oven cooks what is inside, in long after-dinner meals around the table, or sharing work in the kitchen. And that is the essence that we want to see this week in your images. Make our stomach roar, let us smell the aroma of a stew or let us delight in the hands of the creator.high or low key , with a zoom effect , in a surreal way , against the light , in color or in black and white , with natural light or with artificial light, it doesn't matter, but let it catch me and feel its magic.

As usual, to participate in this week's challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wallfrom the Photographer's Blog:  In the description of the photo, please mention the keyword “Cooking Challenge” followed by a title of your choice.

UPDATE

After viewing all your photos, I have to say that I've gotten hungry... ? I'm afraid that as soon as this update is over... I'm going to have to stop for lunch!! But first, I thank you for your participation one more week and I leave you with a gallery of the most outstanding images of this challenge:

This week the photograph that I liked the most is that of Eila Lifflander. You may or may not agree with me, but for me this photograph is full of subtle details that make it my favorite. As for the aesthetic part, I like that "ordered" chaos that fills the frame. I like the harmony of colors and it seems to me a very successful perspective in which we can see all the "ingredients" of the image. In addition, the horizontal framing transmits tranquility, the tranquility that is needed to taste a good dish, the tranquility that a pleasant meal produces. And, in addition, the image transmits other sensations related to cooking and everything that surrounds it, just as he commented when launching the challenge. On the one hand, the wood in the background provides the warmth that kitchens transmit to me, The glass of wine reminds me of meals with friends, family, celebrations... all of them with a common denominator: cooking. On the other hand, the Mediterranean touch that I like so much, the vegetables, the herbs... all that set of Mediterranean ingredients that result in an (apparently) delicious pasta dish that is scary at least through the eyes, which in the end is where any food comes in, because of the view! Nice presentation of the dish (the whole) and its components. The aroma of the spices reaches me, of the fried tomato and that spicy aftertaste of the chilli… Bon apetit, Eila! the aromatic herbs… all that set of Mediterranean ingredients that results in an (apparently) delicious pasta dish that is scary at least through the eyes, which is where any meal comes in, through sight! Nice presentation of the dish (the whole) and its components. The aroma of the spices reaches me, of the fried tomato and that spicy aftertaste of the chilli… Bon apetit, Eila!
