If you have visited any tourist spot or any vacation places, there are high chances that you would have seen some people carrying big bags on their bags or wearing bags on their hips like a fanny pack. These are the breed of people that will wait hours and hours together waiting for the perfect time for the perfect frame and the perfect lighting. These are the artists that we call photographers. Choosing a good photography camera is pretty much an exhaustive process. You would have seen loads and loads of different companies with their own product lines and accessories. While usually, it is more than enough for you to just use your camera to get the perfect shot, most often than not, you should supplement your camera with some quality accessories. Just like how you take vitamin supplements to enhance the ability of your body and to increase its performance capabilities, photographers use special accessories with their already special cameras to give them an edge over the other pictures. You don’t have to go to photography schools to know these things. Here are some accessories that you should have if you want to be a successful novice photographer. Camera bag. One of the most important things that any photographer has to carry is a good and robust photography bag. The camera bag serves many important purposes, some of them being: Protecting your camera from dust, helping you carry your camera and its accessories. Protecting your camera from accidental spills and falls and so on. Even for people who are not travelling, a camera bag is an important piece of equipment. If you visit any photo studio, you will see that they are constantly removing and putting their camera back into a camera bag. Why do they do this? Even when it would be just easier to keep it on the counter? Well, you just read why. A camera bag also helps keep all your things in one place. Your extra lenses, your cleaning equipment, your lens covers and other important things that you might need for your camera. Cleaning kits. Everyone hates photographs that are blurred. Well, if the photos are blurred because of the photography backdrops not being ideal, that’s one thing. But for an image to be blurred even when the background is beautiful? That is completely inexcusable. You may not realise it at the time, but after you are back home and are going through the photos on your laptop or tv, you are bound to get irritated and possibly even angry at yourself for not carrying cleaning supplies with you. Cleaning kits are very important pieces of equipment for any photographer. Your photography instrument is a precision instrument, much like a microscope. Because of usage, it is bound to become dirty, and the lens is bound to be covered in dust. Especially if you are doing some urban photography and the roads are full of dust. Why can't I just wipe it with some cloth you ask? How would it feel if someone wipes your hand with sandpaper? Not a good feeling is it? That is exactly how your camera feels when you use a rough cloth to wipe the lens. Moreover, you will scratch the lens, and then, you will have to buy new ones which are expensive. That is why you should always have a good quality cleaning kit with you. Memory Card Reader. This is something you probably did not expect on this list, but let me tell you why it is important. Just try and imagine a situation with me. You are at a wedding with your family, and as an enthusiastic photographer, you are clicking a lot of wedding photos. Your sister comes up to you and asks you to take a picture of her. Now that she knows the picture has turned out really well, she pesters you, again and again, to give her the image immediately so that she can upload it on social media. Now, in such situations where you have to share photos immediately, it is always a good idea to keep a memory card reader in handy with you. Card readers also help you when you have suddenly run out of storage. You can put the card to your phone, upload the pictures to the cloud, clear the memory card and start shooting more beautiful pictures again. Well, these are the accessories that I think every photographer must have wherever they go, be it the Saharan deserts or the Himalayan mountain ranges. Have these with you, and maybe your photos will feature in some famous photography blogs.
