THE 4 BEST SLR OBJECTIVES YOU NEED MOST

I don't know about you but for me, the second most important element of my photographic equipment, after the camera itself, is the objective . And just as people like to read recommendations from SLR cameras , I am also encountering requests for guidance and recommendation regarding objectives. That is what today's post is about, in it I will present my vision, very subjective and personal (this is not an exact science) regarding what for me would be the best reflex goals.

THE 4 BEST SLR OBJECTIVES

I will not quote brands, but simply types of objectives. Nor will I refer to extras that they may have (such as stabilizer, focus motor, etc.) but to the objective itself in terms of type, focal length range and apertures.

1) THE KING OF OBJECTIVES: 50MM F / 1.4

I can not live without him. If I had to spend the rest of my life with only one goal, it would undoubtedly be this one. Its 50mm focal length is simply perfect. It is the perfect point between a wide viewing angle and a telephoto lens. On the other hand, the terribly generous opening of the diaphragm of this objective makes it extremely bright. It makes it very easy to take photos in low light situations, not to mention the depth of field game that it allows. If you are interested in this objective do not miss the article I have dedicated here .

2) 55-200MM TELEPHOTO LENS, THE SPY

And it is a "spy" because where 18-55mm falls short, 55-200mm reaches without problems quite distant subjects. It is the ideal goal to take casual photographs of people spontaneously down the street (stolen ones called). It is also very useful if you like photography of animals, birds, birds, etc. Here the important thing is to get one that has a good maximum opening, although with an f / 4 it would start to be enough. I say this because the firing speed is often affected by the amount of light that the diaphragm lets in. The greater the aperture (f / 3 or f / 4) the greater the light enters, the faster the shot is and the sharper the imageIf you are going to invest in a telephoto lens, do not waste your money on one whose aperture is greater than 5/5 because most of the photos will be blurred. Remember, an f / 4 at least, and if it can be less, the better. Remember also that, in the case of telephoto lenses, it is very expensive to find objectives that have very large apertures. In fact I don't know if there is any telephoto lens whose aperture is f / 1.4 for example. If there were, it would have to cost one eye of the face. So, with it being in the f / 4 I think it would be great.

3) THE WIDTH OF THE WIDE ANGLE

What would photography be without landscapes , right? Many of us have fallen in love with photography because of (or thanks to) landscapes that we had always wanted to portray. Wide-angle lenses are the perfect tool for these types of photographs. Thanks to its wide viewing angle they allow you to capture very panoramic photographs, thus being able to cover more framing. Wide-angle lenses usually have between 12 and 20mm focal length. This is subjective, surely there will be some telling me that I am leaving out those of 10mm for example, and it may be true, but it is true that if we go down to lower focal distances we already enter a type of lens where the image is too distorted , and would be practically "fisheye" objectives, which for that matter do not come.

4) MACRO OBJECTIVES

If you have ever tried to focus at very short distances with a normal 18-55mm lens you will have noticed the enormous limitation that these standard objectives have. Normally below 50 centimeters you cannot focus. For that, macro objectives have been invented. They are characterized mainly by the ability to focus at very short distances. Its focal length is usually 50 to 200mm. It is the ideal lens to photograph flowers, insects, or tiny details of any object. If you like the Macro world, read this . Remember: these are simple ideas and suggestions based on my humble experience. In the end who has to decide what goals to buy are you, depending on the type of photos you like to take. As always, thanks for reading. I hope you find this article useful. If you could share it on your favorite social network you would do me a huge favor.
