WEEKLY CHALLENGE 105: PORTRAIT IN NATURE

WEEKLY CHALLENGE 105: PORTRAIT IN NATURE

If last week I asked you to look in black and white, this time I challenge you to breathe fresh air. Yes, yes, as you read it, you will have to jump into the only place where you can breathe clean air: nature.

HOW DOES IT WORK? (REMINDER)

Every week I will propose a new challenge , it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, going through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The topics will be proposed on Saturdays, so that you have the whole weekend to work on them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and I will propose a new topic, and so…

WEEKLY CHALLENGE 105: PORTRAIT IN NATURE

Although we have become careful urbanites, if we think just a little bit we will remember that in reality our "natural" environment is nature (forgive the redundancy), the environment in which we live is a world that we have artificially created and, although we feel very comfortable in it, where our bodies and minds live best is in the middle of nature, even if we don't believe it, even if we are afraid of bugs or wild animals... All these are fears that we have learned and that are the fault of an excess of life in the city.

That's why I would like you to lose yourself for a while in a green (or blue) environment. You can get lost with someone or take a tripod to take a self- portrait, the essential thing is that you blend in with the environment, that nature is a co-star in your portrait, that we are tremendously envious when we see your photo and want to run to take portraits in the middle of the forest , beach, jungle or high mountains, that we forget about the fear of bugs and heights and run out to capture the essence of the human being in the middle of nature. You dare?

As usual, to participate in this week's challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wallfrom the Photographer's Blog:  In the description of the photo please mention the keyword “Portrait in Nature Challenge” followed by a title of your choice.

ALTERNATIVE MEANS TO PARTICIPATE

For those of you who are not from Facebook, I have enabled new social networks to participate.

UPDATE

I leave you with the most outstanding portraits of this week. Thank you for participating and for being as excited every week as the one we put in from the blog team so that the challenges continue to be possible ?

This week I am not going to highlight the photograph that was best made at a technical level, this time I am going to stay with an image that perfectly meets what I asked for when proposing the challenge. An image that tells a beautiful story, that has moved me inside, that has made me want to lose myself this weekend in a forest or in the middle of the countryside. Amalia Zilio's photography could possibly have better contrast, sharpness or saturation, however, all of that would be for nothing if she didn't convey the “Magic in the Forest” that she conveys. It is a simple but correct image at the compositional and approach level whose story has more strength and weight than the technical details. A girl who forgets the world, an Alice in Wonderland with the rabbit as her best friend. She doesn't need anything else. She is part of the environment, she is camouflaged in it, in fact it seems to live in that forest, more specifically in the tree behind it. The girl and the rabbit, happy in an environment whose only noises are those of other animals, the rustle of dry leaves or the song of the wind. Without pollution, without haste, without noise or light pollution, a magical place where we forget to lose ourselves, our true home, the place where we belong but which we do not want to look at or take care of. This little girl should serve as an example for us to rediscover our inner child, to remember what is important in life, to stop for a moment and, if necessary, get off this high-speed train in which we live and enjoy the scenery. Thank you very much Amalia for transmitting this magic to us, and congratulations because you are on the right path within photography. more specifically in the tree behind her. The girl and the rabbit, happy in an
